The documents used for sending goods abroad
1. Invoice and Packing list
Invoice is a product price list or invoice. It is a document prepared by the exporter (Exporter) or seller (seller) to show details about the goods, including the name and address of the buyer and seller, product list, quantity and price of the goods, etc. These details will be used as documents to check the goods that will be received and will be used to send goods abroad when passing through customs to show evidence to the officer. Packing List is a weight and packing list. It is a document prepared by the exporter (Exporter) or seller (seller) to show details about the goods, indicating the quantity of goods packed in the package, the weight and size of the goods. This document will have the same product details as the Invice document, but will not specify the price of the product.
2. Waybill
A document issued by the freight forwarder to the shipper to show that the goods have been received for delivery to the specified destination. The bill of lading will contain important details such as the name and address of the carrier, shipper, consignee, and details of the various products. There are 3 types of bills of lading:
1) Air waybill (AWB) A bill of lading issued by a freight forwarder or agent. It is a contract that the freight forwarder will deliver the goods from the origin and deliver them to the destination airport in the agreed country. It is used as a transportation document and as evidence of receipt of the goods. If there is a transfer of rights, the bill of lading must be clearly endorsed on the back.
2) Sea waybill A bill of lading issued by a freight forwarder or agent. It is a contract that the freight forwarder will deliver the goods from the port of origin and transport them to the destination port in the agreed country. The name of the shipper, origin city, and destination must be clearly specified and verified for accuracy.
3) Truck waybill A bill of lading issued by a freight forwarder or agent. It is a contract that the shipping company will send products from the origin and transport them to the warehouse or doorstep of the destination in the agreed country.
3. Additional documents
Antique Export Licenses Documents allowing the export of products such as Buddha images, art objects, and antiques. In order to export these products, it is necessary to apply for a license to export art objects or Buddha images from Thailand, issued by the Fine Arts Department.
Certificate of Origin (CO) A certificate of origin, is a document used for products made of fabric, such as clothing, apparel, pillowcases, tablecloths, or products consisting of various fabrics. If exported to European countries, a certificate of origin is required stating where the fabric product originates from and which country, to provide evidence to the officer.
Fumigation Certificate A certificate of wood fumigation, used for products made of wood or wooden packaging that must be fumigated to prevent pests. This is evidence proving that products made of wood, including wooden packaging, such as open or solid crates, have been fumigated, issued by the Department of Agriculture.
Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) A document used for plant products or plant products, including herbs, when importing plants to various countries. This document certifies that this type of plant is free from disease or pests, issued by the Department of Agriculture.
